ADNOC Vehicle Inspection Centre - Mahawi (917)

I visited Mahwi at an ADNOC station for car renewal. • After payment, the employee pressured me to buy a fuel injection cleaner (146 AED). • He claimed it was “compulsory”, and that without buying it, he wouldn’t pass your car inspection. • i feel this may be a scam for commission, and that such behavior is not appropriate for ADNOC or any professional service.

Everyone be careful about their timing, on the Web it showing 7 to 11 pm but they closes almost 10 pm. Also if you don't buy the fuel injector cleaner, don't expect a pass certificate.

Very quick, clean and no queue. Access is easy and if you are coming from Abu Dhabi city, you hv very close U turn from bridge.

Please dont use number plate replacement option from nearby office inside their inspection center, it doesnt belongs to government. Its a 3 rd party services (Me Services LLC) They are charging 126 AED without our knowledge from our debit or credit card as service charge, to just provide number plates and fix it. Already they are charging 35 AED for single plate plus 126 AED service charge. They will tell in 35 AED we get fixed our number plate, but they wont tell you about 126 AED and even message will not come from your bank. After you check your statement you come know.. bad service....

Test time was fast and no crowd on early morning during week days. However, after the test the inspection person told me to use the fuel system cleaner which he said it will reduce the carbon emission. I am not sure, this is required or anything because of test he recommended. Paid additional AED 90 for this product. I hope this is not mandatory and not to be sold at the testing center. Moreover, it should not affect my fuel system, since it is not recommended by any professional technicians. I would have given 5 star, if only testing works are done. Same product they are promoting during refueling the car. So it’s not mandatory to use I believe.
